The Ostritsa reserve is near it. The Ostritsa botanical reserve was declared a reserve in 1934; its total area is 600,000 sq. m; it contains unique plant species. Vitoshko hunting reserve offers delightful conditions for hunting tourism and recreation. Vitoshko-Stoudena State Game Breeding Unit operates in this reserve; the unit has a mountain trout farm.
