Village of Gurlo is located in South-West Bulgaria. It is part of Breznik Municipality, Pernik District. The relief in the municipality of Breznik is varied, the climate is moderate continental. To the northeast the valley borders Viskyar Mountain, and to the south and southwest it reaches Lubach and Cherna Gora mountains. Typical for the municipality are natural reserves of oil shale, red sandstone, iron-containing mineral water. The territory of the municipality is crossed by small rivers such as the Svetlya, the Konska, the Mala Reka. There are micro-dam lakes in many of the population centers, namely Begounovtsi, Slakovtsi, Konska, Izvor and Breznik.
