The hamlet of Jedna is located in the south-western part of Bulgaria, at the food of Koniavska Mountain, 10 km from Radomir and 53 km from the capital city of Bulgaria – Sofia. The village is situated in Radomir Municipality, in Pernik region. The Pernik region is situated in the South-western part of Bulgaria, 30 km far from Sofia at the main cross-road Sofia-Thessalonoki-Skopje. It occupies an area of 2390.5 sq km, representing 2.1% from the country's territory. It is known from the history that in the past Pernik was an storm-proof fortress, residence of the famous voivode (leader) Krakra, who thousands of year ago, the only one left unconquered by the Byzanyine emperor Vassilius the Second, called latter Bulgarian-killer. He obeyed at last the state of Samuil with unprecedented cruelty.
