The village of Zidartsi is located in South-West Bulgaria. It is part of Pernik Municipality, Pernik District. The Pernik municipality is situated in the hollow of the same name. It’s favourable climate and its vast semi-mountain pastures have created suitable conditions for living, so it has been inhabited since ancient times. It borders the Sofia, Breznik, Kovatchevtsi and Radomir municipalities. The area of Pernik municipality is about 477.21 square kilometres, which is about 20% of the area of the Pernik District. Pernik Municipality is situated in the hollow of the same name, which is distinguished by its well-developed foot, as well as with the predominant development of high terraces. The hollow’s relief is highly varied. The southern slopes are slant and bare, while the northern slopes are steeper and covered with vegetation. Nearly 25% of the municipality territory is forested. In terms of climate, Pernik is within the temperate continental climate zone. Only the Vitosha slope is in the mountain climate zone.
